And this year should be no different, says the Real Christmas Tree Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe just kicked off the season with a busy weekend for real Christmas tree shoppers,\u201d said Marsha Gray, Executive Director of the Real Christmas Tree Board. \u201cBut we know shopping lasts all season long, so we want people to know that the supply of real Christmas trees does, too.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The real Christmas tree industry consistently meets demand \u2026<\/strong><br>The industry has never run out of trees. Real Christmas trees are grown in every U.S. state, and the largest Christmas tree-producing states (Oregon, North Carolina, and Michigan) range from east to west and north to south.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cChallenges in one area don\u2019t necessarily characterize the entire industry,\u201d said Gray. \u201cOur widespread geographic footprint allows the industry to remain flexible and resilient.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2026 even on Christmas Eve.<\/strong><br>Whether it\u2019s a matter of tradition, or the result of a busy holiday season, consumers buy their trees at various times. And, yes, that includes as late as Christmas Eve. A consumer survey last year<strong><sup><a href=\"#source-2\">2<\/a><\/sup><\/strong> shed light on what that looks like:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cPre-Season Achievers\u201d (<em>before<\/em>&nbsp;Thanksgiving) \u2013 14%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cBlack Friday Checklisters\u201d (during the weekend&nbsp;<em>after<\/em>&nbsp;Thanksgiving) \u2013 33%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cSeasonal Purists\u201d (first week of December) \u2013 33%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cMid-Decemberists\u201d (second week of December) \u2013 16%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cTreecrastinators\u201d (third week of December) \u2013 3%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cChristmas Eve Traditionalists\u201d (on Christmas Eve) \u2013 1%&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Regardless of when they head out to find \u201cthe one\u201d shoppers can look forward to a joyful experience. In fact, last year, 91% of real tree purchasers surveyed<strong><sup><a href=\"#source-1\">1<\/a><\/sup><\/strong> were satisfied with the buying experience. Time spent with their family and the <em>experience <\/em>of purchasing that real tree were noted as a top reason for that satisfaction.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Helpful tips for enthusiasts and first-time buyers.<\/strong><br>Whether someone gets a real tree every year, or they\u2019re among the 23% of those asked in a recent survey<strong><sup><a href=\"#source-3\">3<\/a><\/sup><\/strong> who said they\u2019re planning to buy a real Christmas tree for the first time this year, the Real Christmas Tree Board has simple tips to remember:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At the retailer: Trees can appear smaller when displayed outside. Make sure you know your ceiling height and measure your tree to confirm it\u2019ll fit in your home. Once selected, ask for a fresh cut on the base of the trunk and a shake from a tree shaker if they have one available.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At home: Water your Christmas tree immediately and often. A well-watered tree will stay looking <em>and <\/em>smelling great all season long.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After Christmas: Real Christmas trees are 100% recyclable and biodegradable.
